Edmund Tie and Company has it that the sales volume of new condos is expected to go up. This is a result of the new project details leading to the development of the Rest of Central Region (RCR). In RCR, new sales volume is expected to cross 1,100 units, which is about 80%.
The forecasted increase is in line with the launch of new projects which the market segment has witnessed. The five new projects contributed over 60% of the overall new unit launches that happened in the second quarter.
The first quarter of 2019 witnessed an increase in the sales of the new condo by 2.3%, of which Core Central Region (CCR) sales accounted for 82% of the increase. Outside Central Region (OCR) had its sales volume up by 52.4% while RCR sales volume dropped by 37.3% of the previous quarter’s.
